Happy Birthday to me!

Had my birthday dinner this evening at Lams, a vietnamese restaurant in town. Totally delish. We had several starters including spring rolls, beef 'teriyaki' sticks with peanut sauce and Dukan Pancakes. I had the seafood festival, and the others in our party had a tofu in tamerind sauce and a broccoli leaves and cellephane noodle seafod medly. We had ice cream for dessert.

It was nice to be out in a dress. Hmmm, it's been a very long time since I've been out in a dress. I usually wear shorts or pants depending on the temperature, but we thought it would be nice to dress up a bit. We all looked quite lovely.

I've been sleeping such odd hours. I spend most of the night up at the computer, either reading the insanity that makes up the Craigslist parenting group, or looking at the various for sale and free groups. I've been accused of being a garbage picker but I've gotten some great things from freecycle and craigslist. Why not take what other people can no longer use. I've certainly gotten rid of my share of junk off CL.

Lets talk about what makes the parenting group on CL so amusing. At first I thought it was because so many of the women were young, and therefore didn't have enough life experience. Then I thought it was because the have a collective IQ of <90.

I don't know why I continue to read this drivel, but I'm compelled to have a good laugh. Now I've got the Boy reading some of the crap, which makes him laugh until he has tears in his eyes.
