Blogathon 2006 Post #9

Only 40 more to go. Took my first three Ibuprofans for the caffiene headache and I'm waiting for them to kick in. I want to thank my monitor Pandora for being so supportive and for reading and commenting. Way to go!

To me, happiness is....

A good book, a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee, a warm (but NOT hot) sunny day, a hammock in the back yard, and cinnamon sugar pita chips. With a bathroom close by.

Sailing to Maine on our old wooden 32' Friendship sloop before she sunk.

Playing with puppies. Any and all puppies.

Dinner at the Blue Ribbon Barbeque.

The day the first tomato turns red and we can finally reap what we sow.

A big bouquet of flowers from the garden.

A day without edema.

Listening to the very rare sound of my kids getting along and laughing at something.

Babies.

Pinot Grigio.

Sour cream coffee cake with struesel.

Sushi.

Being healthy.

Taking photos of my kids.

Sleeping.

Blogging.

A clean house.

A clean litterbox.

Traveling anywhere. Right now, a trip to OshKosh sounds good. As in "get me outta here!"

Mojitos. Lots of mojitos. Mmmmmm.

What defines happiness for you?

WAKE UP, MARGALIT!!

I agree with many on your list, especially puppies and babies. What about kittens? Don't they make your list?

Judy, I love cats, but I'm not much of a kitten fan. They're cute and all, but they bite and they have those little needle claws and you end up either with ruined furniture or an armfull of scratches. Once they're past the kitten stage, I'm a huge cat fan. Or at least the Worthless Pet thinks I am!

Happiness to me is a quiet afternoon at home, listening to the kids play peacefully together. It's a rare occurrence in these parts. But when it happens, it's a blessing.
