No wonder nobody listens to me

I was spouting off about what I wanted the kids to do later this evening, but I wasn't looking at them. There was a space for some response, and...silence. I looked up, and realized why nobody listens to me.

What's a mom to do? The look is priceless, isn't it? They were both totally oblivious to me, looking at their damn Ipods and in their own little worlds. You gotta love it.

I think back to the dark ages when I was their age, and wonder what I would have done had I had an Ipod. I'm sure that my parents would have taken the thing outside and crushed it under their heels if I ever ignored them like this.

I guess I'm a softie or something, but I can't really do anything other than shrug my shoulders and laugh. Yet another bad mommy moment, I guess. But the other alternative is to shreik like a banshee, and they probably would not even hear me through the music.

I love these kids.

Well, it's not technically ignoring you if they can't actually hear you right?? That's what I tell myself anyway. That picture is too funny.

My kids could do this to me with a book, can you credit it. Love the photo. Love the comment.
