Improvements have been made

The Girl made me a nice cake out of the Martha Stewart Baking Book. The Boy is making the frosting. He's not having a good day and had a bit of a meltdown, but he's on the upswing.

But the big news, the BEST news is....My brother is going to sell me his daughter's very new car. It's only a year old, has low milage, and it's in terrific shape. Yahoo! We just have to pay off her loan. She moved into the city and has no need for a car anymore, and boy, do we need a car. And Dave... it has roll down windows and regular, non-electric locks. So yes, the DO still make cars with roll down windows.

My friend Jean came over with a gorgeous hibiscus for me, my friend Iris gave me a totally unique gift and called me from Maryland, my friend Nina called from Atlanta, both kids came through with something, I got real cards, e-cards, twitter and email greetings, and now I'm feeling like the day has been saved. It's all good after all!
