I Can Only Imagine

Dick and Rick Hoyt are Boston legends. Every year we gather on Heartbreak Hill in our city to watch them in the Boston Marathon. They get louder cheers than anyone else, even the winners. The Hoyts are an amazing team; father and son working together to achieve goals that everyone only dreams about. When they run by us every year, my heart almost bursts with pride for them, because they prove that you can do anything you put your mind to.

When I have a week like this week has been, and will probably continue to be for a while, I need to be reminded that there is an amazing world just outside my door, filled with real heros. Not phony chichuahua toting drunk blonds, but real live heros who go through life, day after day, defeating the odds and showing us all that anything is possible. Today, this was my reminder.

Thanks for the reminder. We all need this from time to time. I'm also praying in my way for you and the Girl and the Boy.
