Marshalls: my home away from home

Well, after three trips to Marshalls in 2 days, we now have clothing to wear to the funeral. It's supposed to be 93 degrees tomorrow, and humid. There are 30K people expected at the viewing. We don't even know if the service is private or not. It doesn't look like it is. So the next order of business had to be getting the Boy something appropriate to wear as his one suit would be swelteringly hot. I wasn't up to the complaints.

I got him black pants, a black and gray striped short-sleeved shirt that he'll be able to wear to school, too, and a new Jerry Garcia tie. All marked down, of course.

The Girl returned the skirt, decided to look at the dresses again with a better attitude and found 3 that she liked. She narrowed the choice down to 2, since they were all final clearance and cheaper than the skirt and sweater. So now she has two nice dresses for spring, summer and fall wear.

I honestly do not want to see the inside of Marshalls again for a long long time. But that's wishful thinking.

Cat is still partially blocked and our house smells like a lion's den. Nice! We're stuffing him with cranberry medicine, treats, and food. He's impossible to pill (really, imagine trying to pill a wild tiger...that's WP) so all his medicine has to taste good. What a pain in the patoot he is. But he isn't in pain, his bladder isn't too distended, he's passing urine, it isn't very crystalized, he's pooping, and he seems perfectly happy. If it continues, he'll go and visit the vet IF I can get him into his box. Let me just say he is not cooperative.

Boy and Girl have the same latin teacher. She lives around the block and she's lively! It should be an interesting year.

Boy's schedule is screwed up but good and they forgot PE. He has to have PE to graduate. Girls schedule is better, but she's disappointed to find that she didn't get woodworking, she got mixed media instead. She'll learn how to fuse glass. It will be fun.

Tell girl she can come live in SEattle and take algebra 2 and anatomy and physiology and some really dumb online class about pop culture in tv and film and I will come to boston(in the fall~oh yeah)and fuse glass to my heart's content. She can deal with 18yo bpb who just bleached his hair terribly ugly hideously yellow. Because, you know, that's what all bosses look for in a good employee.

If she does a little dusting and cooking she can have my 2006 honda civic.

BTW, I haven't been in a Marshall's on oh maybe 10 years!! Neener.
