In the "Better Late than Never" category

Evidentally, today is deLurking day, which I might have known if I hadn't spend hours on the phone with the institution that rhymes with Tank of Humeriga chatting up first their customer service (3 calls) and then their fraudulent claims department. Because let's face it, what is more fun than chatting with swell people at the Tank about these weird charges that appeared on your statement 7 FUCKING times, when you have told them over and over and over that you have absolutely no clue what the OnLine Supplier scammers company is, have never ordered a damn thing from them, and they don't even have my real name, only my blogging name. Hmmmm, do you think that this MIGHT be a scam?

Anyhow... let's try and be a bit more upbeat, ok? If you're one of the hundreds of people what I know read (I do see you out there, you know) but never comment, today's your day. You don't have to say anything much, just send a quick Howdy or a smootch or something nice. I need nice. Really I do. I'm human, you know. Like Hilary. :-)

I only SOMETIMES lurk. But, I'll delurk anyhow!

As a note, your situation with the Tank is precisely why I left them a few years ago. They were the suck when it came to that stuff.

You want nice? You got it.

I have been reading you for some time, and there are some things about you that I have noticed. You are one of the most honest, kind, compassionate, and intelligent bloggers that I have ever read. Also, you are one tough cookie. No matter what gets thrown your way in life, you manage to continue on, no matter how hard it seems.

You are an excellent mother (from what I have read here); the kind that any child would be extremely lucky to have. In addition, you treat your children with respect as you teach them the skills that they will need for life, such as morals, values, honesty, compassion...etc. At times it's rough, I'm sure, but you never give up. You may want to at times, but you don't.

Finally, from what I've read, you give of yourself, expecting nothing in return.

You are an awesome person. You think of others as well as yourself, you are strong in your faith, and you stand your ground when you believe in something. Thank you for being you.

Hey lady,

Hope that everything works out with the Tank. You've taught me to make sure to comment on my regular blogs at least once a week.

You're awesome!!

I don't always have something to say. Good luck with the kids. It sounds like it has been a hell of a week. I hope the system kicks in to help with it all. I think you are strong. I agree with you that the bloggers who are paring down don't get it. Many of us are living that way because there is no other option.

Aw, Angel, you made me cry. What an AWESOME comment. And boy, did I need it today. Sometimes I just want to run away from home and join the circus. I think working with tigers and lions has to be easier than living with teenagers. Sigh.

I think I've commented once before, but figured I'd better comment again, just in case.

I've enjoyed your blog for a few months now. You've got a wonderful perspective on things, and have a great way of saying it. Thanks for being one of my favorite stops.

I hope you have a better Friday!

Hi, not sure if I have commented before or not but read regularly so delurking anyway to say hi. I am from the other side of the "pond" so I am often not familiar enough with your health, education system etc to comment but I always find you entries thought provoking. Can't say I always agree but that would be boring! and I do frequently agree or I would not be still reading! Keep up the good work.

Me again, no, not a Gemma. Actually one of my daughters is Meg and when she was born a friend of mine, who teaches kids with dyslexia, said to me she thought it was a great name because if she grew up to be dyslexic she would be a Gem. Well, she's not dyslexic but she is still a Gem, hence Gem. Bet you are sorry you asked!
