It's De-Lurking Day 2009

Yup, today is the day you actually have to come out from behind your computer and say "hello." It's only once a year, so it shouldn't be too taxing. Just a quick comment to say hi, and you can go right back to hiding. I don't want you to hide, but that seems to be what you do best!

Leave a comment here, copy the logo and paste it on your blog, and then ask for comments there, too. You know, pass it along!

Hi Margalit,
O.K. I admit I'm a "lurker". I just enjoy reading your blog (almost daily). I think I got the link from the Boston Globe website but I'm not sure.
Best wishes.

Delurking to say - I often want to comment, but your site doesn't let me comment anonymously. I always forget my name and password, try a few times, get frustrated, and end up not commenting. I read your blog daily.

I don't lurk -- people my size don't "lurk" -- but I often stop by to read and wind up not having time to comment.

At any rate, happy Delurking Day, and hope all your fans come out of the woodwork!

Hi. I've commented before but might still count as a lurker because I certainly don't comment with each visit. (If I did I might be classed as a stalker!) Anyway, will be visiting again as always. Have nothing to say about the whole Gaza thing because I don't know enough about it. I do live in a country which had active terrorist warfare up until 10 years ago and have learnt from that that the issues can be very complex so I say nothing. I am trying to learn though. I also know from my own experience how painful these conflicts are so my thoughts are with you.

Sometimes a commenter, mostly a lurker - mostly because I am lazy. But thanks for posting and making me think.

Well, actually, according to my notes, last week was National Delurking Week, but what is a week between friends?

I actually thought about saying, in my journal, that all those who had stopped reading my journal shouldn't bother to post.

I'm not a lurker but I'm a bad commenter (RSS feeds are both a blessing and a curse.)

Just wanted to say that, as the ancient Chinese proverb goes, we're lucky to live in an interesting age. And I always love hearing your interesting take on things, Margalit. You've got a great mind.

Just sayin' hello again. Haven't had a chance to call for quite some time now, but it doesn't mean I've forgotten you.
